Technical Information

The Industrial Court is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, due to the non-compliances listed.

Non-Accessible Content

Some accessibility issues are known and may include:

  • Buttons or links without clear labels
  • No “skip to content” functionality
  • Inconsistent keyboard focus visibility
  • Missing semantic markup on some pages
  • PDF and MS Office documents with incorrect reading order, missing text alternatives, or low contrast

Some of these issues may stem from legacy content or older documents. We are working to resolve issues where feasible.

Disproportionate Burden

We are not claiming disproportionate burden for any current accessibility barriers.

Content Outside Scope

Some content is not covered by the accessibility regulations, including:

  • PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 (unless essential)
  • Pre-recorded video or audio published before 23 September 2020
  • Maps and third-party embedded content (e.g., YouTube, Google Maps)

What We’re Doing to Improve

We aim to improve accessibility on an ongoing basis. Accessibility is reviewed during quarterly content audits, and we strive to publish new content in HTML wherever possible. Documents are checked using built-in accessibility tools before publication, and WCAG 2.1 standards are included in design and print requirements.
